When you’ve finally shoveled out of the snow mountain that has enveloped your home and sheared away your beard caked with soup that sustained you through the long winter, the new version of Skybox 7.5.100 awaits you.

(In the meantime, warm yourself by our five-star review from SC Magazine for vulnerability management.)

The latest version is a major upgrade to the Skybox Enterprise Suite and includes lots of new features and under-the-hood enhancements.

Security Bulletin Mode for Threat Manager

Skybox security bulletins are vendor updates that include vulnerabilities and their fixes, and a single security bulletin may contain multiple CVEs. Threat Manager’s security bulletin mode provides the option to manage vulnerabilities from a bulletin/advisory solution point of view.

The Skybox Vulnerability Database now includes security bulletins for Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Cisco, Mozilla and Google, with Red Hat coming soon.

Vulnerability Detection on Check Point Firewalls

Firewall Assurance can now detect vulnerabilities on your Check Point firewall using configuration data.  Traditional scanners have limited to no visibility into vulnerabilities that may exist on firewalls, and it can be incredibly risky to scan these devices. With Skybox, detecting Check Point vulnerabilities is non-intrusive—no data is actually sent to the firewall, so there is no risk of disruption or down time.

PCI DSS v3.0 Support

Skybox Firewall Assurance supports PCI DSS v3.0, which became active early this year. The policy is available via import, and PCI DSS v3.0 reports can be extracted by selecting the new policy. More information about the changes made to support the new version of this regulation are available in the Release Notes.
